Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: How do I launch the PostEverywhere software? Do I login on your website?
- When you installed the PostEverywhere software, an icon was placed on your desktop - look for the 3 blue arrows. Clicking on this icon will launch the PostEverywhere software so you can do your load and truck posting. You do not go to our website to enter or post loads and trucks. The PostEverywhere software will launch your browser whenever needed; to make payments or update your user information, for example.
- The My Account link on the website allows you to log in to the Account Management and Payment site as an alternative to the button in the PostEverywhere software.top of page
- Q: How do I find my confirmation code?
- Your confirmation code was sent to the e-mail address you entered when setting up your trial. Check your e-mail for a message from support at posteverywhere.com. The subject of the e-mail is Your PostEverywhere Confirmation Code. If you did not receive this e-mail you can re-enter your e-mail address in the bottom of the Confirmation Code Entry window and request it again. This will also update your e-mail address in the event that it was mis-typed the first time. If you still do not receive your confirmation code, please contact us for assistance. top of page
- Q: Why is the PostEverywhere software telling me I'm not connected to the Internet when I know I am?
- Generally, if you can browse the Internet (i.e. go to www.yahoo.com) from your computer, you won't have any problems. Problems arise when the PostEverywhere software is blocked from the Internet by a firewall or proxy server. If this is the case, you, your network administrator, or your hardware supplier will need to reconfigure your system to allow access for our software. Please have your technical representative contact us; we will be happy to assist. top of page
- Q: I've tried to remove a posting, but it still says posted by...?
- This usually happens after making a change in your Active Sites list. Highlight a posting that will not remove, and look at the Sent To list on the bottom right of the Active window. If any sites are listed, try removing (or taking off) the posting again. If the sites on the Sent To list are not on the Active Sites list, the posting will not get taken off those sites. Update your Active Sites list to include all sites the posting has been sent to, and then remove it (or take it off) again.
- We have recently updated the software to flag as removed loads or trucks that may still be posted on sites that are inactive or because of errors. This should limit the occurrence of this problem top of page
- Q: PostEverywhere says I don't have enough postings available to send my selected loads (or trucks). What does that mean and what do I do about it?
- It means that you (or your company) have used all of your available postings. If you have 10 postings remaining, and you post to 11 sites, you will not be able to send another load or truck. Basic PostEverywhere service includes sending up to 20,000 postings per billing cycle. To send again before a new billing cycle rolls around, you will need a Posting Pack. Each $10.00 Posting Pack contains 20,000 reserve postings which will only be used as needed. Reserve postings do not expire, so unused reserve postings remain available when needed to supplement your basic monthly allotment in the future.
- To view the number of postings you currently have available, click on the My Account tab on the left panel. The number of postings available for the current billing cycle, and the number of reserve postings available, are listed with your account information. Click on the Make Payments / Manage Account button to purchase posting packs. If you are a member of a company account, contact your account administrator so they can make the purchase for you. Their name and number is presented just above the Make Payments/Manage Account button.
- If you (or your company) use more than 100,000 posting per billing cycle, switching to the Power package that includes 2 million posting per month will be more cost-effective. top of page
