Exporting Loads and Trucks to DAT

Getting your loads and trucks from PostEverywhere to DAT is easy through our export feature, which includes two formats designed to make use of the DAT software import function. One format is for posting to the daily database, the other is for the live database.

IMPORTANT: The first time you import a PostEverywhere export file into DAT's software, you will need to create a DAT import template. Click on the following link for details on creating a DAT import template. Creating and Using an import template with DAT's software.

DAT Export Instructions

  1. Select the records that you want to export. For example, to export your active loads, go to the Active Loads area and select the loads you would like to export. If you do not select any records, PostEverywhere will assume you want to export the entire list. Click here for help on selecting multiple records.
  2. After you have selected the records you want to export, Choose File->Export. The Export Selection window will open. Select the DAT D format if you want to post to the daily database, or DAT L if you are posting to the live database.
  3. For DAT D files, press OK and PostEverywhere will create a DAT Export document (*.exp) in a folder specified by you. Tip: Save the export in your My Documents folder. DAT looks in this folder first when performing an import.
  4. For DAT L files, a window will open with additional options that only apply to live listings. After setting your options, press OK and PostEverywhere will create a DAT Export document (*.exp) in a folder specified by you. Tip: Save the export in your My Documents folder. DAT looks in this folder first when performing an import.
